Role description:
Arcadis Canada is seeking a Regional Operations Manager - Environment for the Global Business Area Resilience in Canada for the Western Canadian Operations with locations including the Provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, & Saskatchewan.

This position reports to the Resilience Environment Business Unit Director.

Role accountabilities:
As a Regional Operations Manager, you will be responsible for profitably growing the respective business unit presence in line with Global Business Area (GBA) Resilience strategy and financial targets. Responsibilities include:

Implementing the Resilience strategy:

  • Lead the Western Region business unit with ultimate accountability for P&L performance, service quality delivery within the unit; develop and oversee the implementation of the strategy to ensure service quality delivery, service excellence and profitable growth within the unit, to support the delivery of the line of business objectives
  • Lead, motivate and develop a diverse team of senior specialists by recruiting, setting objectives and reviewing performance to ensure staff are developed, driven and have the necessary skills to deliver the business area programme objectives.
  • Develop and implement the business plan for the unit and ensure the team understand it, and the role that they play in its achievement, through the development of the appropriate culture and the provision of context and clarity.
  • Lead the identification and targeting of clients through the delivery of service excellence to deliver growth in organic revenue in the western region business unit.

Build strong relationships and create successful teams:

  • Develop enduring relationships with clients to understand their business needs and ensure client satisfaction to improve retention and deliver organic revenue growth.
  • Coach and mentor Line Managers and service managers to ensure all projects are set up for success and appropriate governance is adhered to, with the goal of improved client satisfaction.
  • Lead the identification of talent in the business unit in both technical capability and sales and promote career development by directing individuals who are identified, to the appropriate development programmes.
  • Lead decisions on resource utilisation within the business unit and maintain the integrity of the unit composition and pyramid management structure to enable resource optimisation.
  • Lead the identification and management of risk in service delivery and ensure compliance with governance processes in the business unit to lead to service excellence and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain an in-depth and up-to-date understanding of the business unit's clients and the market to identify key trends and emerging opportunities.
  • Develop relationships throughout Arcadis to foster cooperation and to maximise opportunities to cross-sell and trade-up.

Qualifications & Experience:
You should have a bachelor's or master's degree and at least years of experience leading and growing a significant business function within a professional services firm. You will be able to inspire multi-disciplinary teams around a common purpose and demonstrate significant leadership capability.

You will have a high level of intellectual, professional, and interpersonal agility and flexibility. You will bring excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization in particular senior levels.

The salary range for this position is $166,000-216,000. The base salary represents Arcadis' hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
