Grande Prairie AB TV L, Canada Northern Doors (Western) Ltd. Full time

Northern Doors is growing and is currently seeking an Accounts Receivable professional to join our team. We are a well-established, family-oriented company located in Grande Prairie, AB. Northern Doors services, maintains, and installs a wide range of products, including commercial overhead doors, residential garage doors, hollow metal man doors, and more.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, and process customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Entering commissions, and revenues data
  • Process customer payments, including cash, cheques, direct deposits, and credit cards; issue and email customer receipts.
  • Follow up on overdue accounts and perform collection duties.
  • Work closely with the bookkeeper to ensure accounts are current and up to date.
  • Resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Assist the receptionist by answering phone calls, screening and directing calls to the appropriate person, and taking detailed messages, as needed.
  • Prepare service workorders and assist the service scheduler with dispatching, as required.
  • Assist walk-in customers with various needs when the receptionist is occupied.
  • Preparing letters and small packages for shipment when required.
  • Maintain filing systems and assist with office supply inventory in coordination with the receptionist.
  • Perform other general administrative duties as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a related position, with knowledge of collections processes and the ability to effectively handle difficult customers.
  • Previous experience in the door industry is considered an asset but is not required.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent customer service skills and professional phone etiquette.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong data entry accuracy and record management skills.
  • Experience working with QuickBooks is considered an asset but is not required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, with a strong aptitude for learning new software.
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to take initiative and suggest process improvements.
  • Ability to present a positive and professional image.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.

Employment Type:

  • This is a permanent, full-time position. Part time work can be discussed.
  • This role requires on-site, in-person attendance and is not a remote or hybrid position.
  • Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday 8am-5pm.
  • Some overtime may be required.
  • Business Casual Attire.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Wage: $20-$25/Hour, the wage offered is based on experience.
  • Company health & dental benefits plan available after 3 months.
  • RRSP / TFSA matching program available after 1 year.
