customer satisfaction, we are seeking a Bookkeeper/Office Manager to join our company.

Position Summary

The Bookkeeper/Office Manager will support the ownership team of the company in a timely, confidential and professional manner. This person will provide high-quality administrative and financial assistance. Our ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, able to meet deadlines, work in a high-pressure environment, and communicate effectively. This candidate will be critical to the efficiency of our business.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping:

  • Use QuickBooks for daily bookkeeping duties including payroll, GST and PST remittances, bank deposits, AP, AR, purchase orders, monthly reports, and preparing year-end financials
  • Track POs to ensure invoice accuracy from vendors
  • Prepare statistical, financial and accounting reports
  • Prepare the year-end financial statements
  • Sync QuickBooks with online project-management system to link client financials and cross-reference accuracy
  • Maintain current knowledge of regulatory changes and impacts on the client's books of account
  • Personal bookkeeping for owners (home office files, personal deposits, gathering info for personal taxes)

General Office Operations:

  • Showroom/office organization
  • Maintain office supplies, including online ordering, shopping, errands
  • Overseeing incoming and outgoing communications (emails, phone calls, walk-in clients, reports, internal correspondence)
  • Office management including arranging IT resources, managing phone systems
  • Data entry for projects using online project-management system
  • Planning and organizing external events (staff functions, client appreciation events, etc.)
  • HR – onboarding new staff
  • Manage WCB and company benefits program
  • Overseeing the approval of department expenses, including review of employee expense reports
  • Maintain records of insurances and licenses for tradespeople
  • Organize building permits

Abilities & Qualifications:

· Education in accounting field or equivalent experience

· Experience in QuickBooks is mandatory

· Experience with MS Office

· Extensive computer skills

· Effective verbal, written and presentation communication skills

· Have class 5 driver's license and reliable vehicle

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
