As a Project Coordinator , you'll be part of the Commercial team within WSP's Applied Solutions business , supporting engineering and environmental projects across Canada. This role is key to improving project financial visibility, identifying margin improvement opportunities, and strengthening commercial governance.
Your Impact
- Support monthly financial reviews for Applied Solutions projects, including revenue recognition, cost analysis, and margin performance.
- Track and forecast project financials, proactively identifying risks and variances.
- Analyze project and portfolio-level data to uncover trends and efficiency opportunities.
- Prepare dashboards and presentations that translate data into actionable insights for business leaders.
- Collaborate on pricing and cost models for bids and proposals, contributing financial and risk input.
- Assist with commercial compliance activities such as project setup, change order tracking, and delegation of authority reviews.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance project governance and reporting discipline.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- 2–5 years of experience in project coordination, financial analysis, or commercial support within engineering, construction, or consulting.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Commerce, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with ERP systems like Oracle or SAP.
- Skilled in data analysis and visualization, ideally with Power BI.
- Financial literacy and understanding of project cost structures and performance metrics.
- Ability to interpret complex project data and communicate insights to technical and non-financial stakeholders.
- Familiarity with project delivery lifecycles in engineering, environmental, or infrastructure services.
- Commercial acumen with a focus on linking technical execution to financial outcomes.
- Curious mindset with a drive for continuous improvement and business growth.
- Capable of communicating (verbal and written) in both official languages (English and French) is preferred.

Compensation:
Expected Salary (British Columbia): $64,300 to $102,600
WSP Canada is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it will pay for this position based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, in addition to the specific geographic location.
