Assistant Manager position will require travel between multiple locations. You must have your own transportation.

This position is within medical clinics and requires a knowledge on how clinics operate. Healthquest knowledge is a must.

Reporting to the Operations Manager and Medical Directors, the Assistant Manager ensures clinical and service quality and assists the Operations Manager with operational duties for the Sphinx Medical Group by performing a range of administrative and clerical duties. The Assistant Managers responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES

Clinical Standards

  • Ensure employees are cross trained in order to standardize and improve quality of service.
  • Ensure employees understand clinic polices, opening and closing rules, workflow, physician and PCN schedules and each physician preference regarding procedures, complete physicals or scheduling etc.

Training

  • New employees' orientation to ensure they understand SMG's policies and processes.
  • Update and cross train every employee in order to standardize and improve quality of service at SMG.

Supplies and Inventory:

  • Review monthly order for each clinic based on its needs.
  • Spot check other clinics inventory at their locations
  • Ensure employees are using supplies properly to reduce costs.

Sterilization:

  • Ensure all Clinic Lead follows Alberta Guidelines for sterilization (reprocessing of instruments).
  • Ensure each clinic has an updated manual and each Clinic Lead is properly cross trained in order to respect guidelines.
  • Support sterilization on each clinic when necessary.

Medical Billing

  • Understanding of AHC Billings, submissions and reconciliations.
  • 3rd party billings preparing and invoicing the requesting clinic, lawyers or insurance.

Referrals

  • Understanding the CPSA guidelines regarding incoming and out going referrals.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
