Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Kitchen Team Member to join our team who can both cook and serve tasty meals to our tenants. Forget the crazy pace of a restaurant kitchen and become a Kitchen Team Member who will play a vital role in meal preparation, serving, food safety, and maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in the food service industry. Shifts will vary and can be discussed during interview.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble meals.
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, mixing, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling and storage of ingredients
- Support the team during busy service times by serving customers efficiently and courteously
- Ensure all food items are prepared in accordance with health regulations and safety guidelines
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent customer service
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, catering, or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory
- Familiarity with cooking techniques, meal preparation, and food handling practices is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitizing standards within the food industry is required
- Ability to work efficiently with or without supervision
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude are essential for success in this role
