Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of legal processes. This role is essential in supporting lawyers with various administrative tasks, ensuring that the office operates efficiently and effectively. The Paralegal will be responsible for maintaining case files, conducting research, and assisting with legal drafting.

Duties

  • Assist lawyers in preparing legal documents and correspondence.
  • Conduct research using legal databases to support case preparation.
  • Manage case files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and organized.
  • Perform data entry tasks to maintain up-to-date records.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and other parties via phone, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
  • Draft and proofread legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing calendars.
  • Organize and maintain physical and electronic filing systems for easy access to information.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role is required.
  • Proficiency in legal drafting and understanding of legal terminology is essential.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written communication skills for drafting correspondence and documents.
  • Familiarity with research techniques
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and general office management is advantageous.
