Manual/Tool Room Machinist

Aero Recip (Canada) Ltd., is Canada's largest aircraft piston engine overhaul facility. We currently are looking for a General Machinist.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Machinist is responsible for the machining and inspection of piston aircraft engine components in accordance with OEM documents and internal processes.
We are open to an experienced machinist looking for full or part-time employment. Flexible on hours and work days throughout M-F.
Qualifications
· Works well with others.
· A high level of integrity.
- Minimum Grade 12.
- Red Seal machinist preferred.
- Able to adhere to very tight tolerances in their work.
- Good manual machining skills required.
- Problem solving abilities.
- Tool and cutter grinding experience would be an asset.
· Able to read drawings and blueprints and interpret technical manuals.
Position Duties/Responsibilities
· Repair or refurbish engine parts using a lathe, milling machine, grinder and/or drill press, in accordance with applicable instructions.
· Use and maintain measuring instruments, personal tools.
· Design, build and maintain any specialized tooling as required.
· Clean and maintain machines.
Computer Skills/Machines and Equipment
· Manual Lathe, milling machine, grinder, drill press, hydraulic press.
· Basic computer skills (Word, Excel…)
