In this role, you’ll use your expertise to design, build, and maintain precision tooling, jigs, fixtures, and gauges that keep our manufacturing running at its best.If you thrive on variety, precision, and problem‑solving — and want to see your craftsmanship directly improve production quality and efficiency — this is your opportunity.WHY JOIN US:Be a part of a team leading the world’s electrification of mass mobility.Competitive Wages and comprehensive benefit package with Immediate benefit eligibility.Paid holidays and vacation.Passionate about creating a better product, a better workplace, and a better world.Inclusive workplace culture that values and empowers team members.On-the-job training in a continuous learning environment (we’ve invested 10.9 million in 2023).Advancement opportunities within our family of companies.WHAT YOU WILL DO:Build with precision: Design, machine, and assemble custom tooling, fixtures, jigs, and gauges to support high-quality, high-efficiency production.Adapt and improve: Modify existing tools and dies to meet production changes, address wear, and improve performance.Collaborate across teams: Work closely with engineers, machinists, and production staff to develop tooling solutions that meet operational needs.Work to exacting standards: Operate manual and CNC machines to produce components to tight tolerances, ensuring tooling accuracy and reliability.Support production directly: Build, set up, and test dies in presses, making fine adjustments for fit and function.Problem-solve on the floor: Diagnose and resolve tooling-related production issues quickly to minimize downtime.Maintain for longevity: Inspect, service, and repair tools and dies to ensure consistent performance and extend service life.WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFULRed Seal Machinist or Tool & Die Maker certification (Interprovincial equivalent accepted) – This is a firm requirementStrong ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, and engineering drawingsProficiency in precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)Experience with CNC and manual machining operations (CNC programming an asset)Knowledge of press setup and die maintenance an assetProblem-solving mindset with a commitment to quality and safetyAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentOUR WHY: We exist to move people.
