Senior Product Manager

Summary/Objective
The Senior Product Manager has deep product expertise and guides success in the development and improvement of a product or product line, supporting the company's overall strategy and goals. The Product Manager is responsible for planning and making strategic decisions throughout the product lifecycle, including: researching and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision and roadmap, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and customer support to ensure successful produce release and that customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager is also responsible for focusing on ways to improve processes and best practices within the Product team.
Essential Functions/ Responsibilities
- Manage and own product lifecycle activities from concept, to design, development, testing, deployment, roll out, support, and finally product end of life.
- Align vision and collaborate with stakeholders in the execution of the product
- Translate the business roadmap into sizeable initiatives/epics and provide guidance to business analysts to gather feature level requirements
- Maintain product backlog and ensure prioritization of epics after analyzing business needs and functional dependencies from all the projects
- Work closely with delivery managers and product owners to plan product delivery and guide the team as needed
- Create, update and deliver the product roadmap: the achievement of growth objectives including market share, revenue, profit, adoption and return on investment.
- Lead training and Product/Feature demonstrations for internal and external audiences
- Anticipate changing business needs and recommend changes to the business team
- Monitor the market and develop competitive analyses to deliver continuous improvements
- Identify opportunities and areas for improvement within the Product team and Paymentus organization and execute on those opportunities
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have any supervisory responsibility or direct reports.
Education and Experience
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 8+ years of previous experience in a product development or management role.
- Proven ability to complete and deliver projects and initiatives successfully.
- Attention to detail and the ability to creatively solve problems.
- Technical knowledge with experience in software development or solution design.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to create buy-in and lead teams without direct authority
- Ability to manage multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously
- Exceptional leadership and project management skills
Preferred:
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Knowledge of BRD tools like JIRA, Confluence, or other similar tools
- Experience in Payment processing space
- Familiarity with Cloud technologies such as AWS and GCP

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday during normal business hours. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Travel up to 5% may be required depending on business needs.
