What You'll Do
  • Assist with environmental field programs including Phase I/II ESAs, vegetation & soil assessments, water sampling.
  • Prepare for and execute fieldwork safely: manage logistics, pack field kits, drive to remote sites, and follow safety protocols.
  • Use field tablets, mapping software, and mobile data tools to collect, document, and upload observations.
  • Collaborate with project leads, GIS analysts, and senior technicians to complete deliverables.
  • Participate in post-field analysis and reporting by organizing data, drafting notes, and contributing to regulatory summaries.
What You Bring
  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Environmental Science, Biology, Agriculture, Ecology, or related field.
  • Exposure to environmental fieldwork or sampling techniques (through school or work).
  • A valid Class 5 driver's license and clean driver's abstract.
  • Comfort working outdoors in variable weather, often in remote/rural settings.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to ask questions and learn.
  • Bonus if you have: First Aid, WHMIS, ATV/UTV training, or experience using GIS/Survey123.
