We are currently looking for a part-time Badminton Instructor for our Markham location.

Reporting to the Multisport & Aquatics Supervisor, the Badminton Instructor will lead and expand our badminton program while fostering a positive and encouraging environment that inspires a love for the sport. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with experience coaching players of all ages, managing sports programs, and demonstrating a deep knowledge and passion for badminton.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Provide badminton instruction to program registrants
  • Plan, develop and implement training for private lessons, group lessons and camps as required
  • Promote and grow all programming that pertains to badminton
  • Coordinate badminton tournaments and other events
  • Conduct program administration (attendance tracking, registration update, incident reports as required)
  • Perform all administrative duties required for all areas of responsibility
  • Attend program meetings and assist with program development
  • Ensure badminton courts and surrounding areas are maintained to club standards
  • Other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • 1-2 years of badminton instruction/coaching experience
  • Experience with provincial, national, and/or international competitions is an asset
  • NCCP certification is an asset but not required
  • Current CPR/First Aid training is required
  • Ability to provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Check
