About WCEP Canada

The Worldwide Cultural Exchange Program (WCEP)
, based in Toronto, Canada, runs international high school exchange programs in partnership with the Canadian Ministry of Education and education ministries from 16 countries. Our goal is to connect cultures in a family-like environment, promoting academic success, social skills, and lifelong friendships.

In collaboration with the
Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Türkiye
, WCEP supports global recognition of Türkiye by helping raise bilingual, globally minded students. We work closely with public and private high schools, education directorates, and the Ministry itself to carry out pioneering projects.

The
WCEP KÜDEP–High School Ambassadors Exchange Program
offers students a year-long study abroad experience, while hosting international students in Türkiye. This reciprocal program enhances language skills, cultural understanding, and confidence—building lifelong friendships and strengthening cultural bridges worldwide.

Position Summary

As an
Assistant Specialist (Education Program Officer)
, you will play a vital role in coordinating and promoting international high school exchange programs. This position requires an individual with strong organizational, communication, and technical skills who has firsthand experience in international education and understands the cultural and administrative dynamics of student exchange programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the
    promotion and coordination
    of international high school exchange programs in partnership with schools and global organizations.
  • Advise students and families
    on exchange opportunities based on academic standing, language ability, and career interests.
  • Manage
    applications, documentation, and pre-departure orientation processes
    for exchange participants.
  • Maintain
    accurate student records, data, and CRM entries
    , ensuring smooth information flow between institutions.
  • Collaborate with international partners to ensure
    timely communication and program success
    .
  • Contribute to
    marketing, outreach, and engagement initiatives
    across Turkey and other regions.
  • Support office operations, data management, and reporting requirements.
  • Participate in orientations, fairs, and presentations representing WCEP Canada.

Qualifications

  • Must have been a previous exchange student in Canada for at least one academic year
    (mandatory requirement).
  • Must have a
    clear understanding of how international exchange programs operate
    , including academic, cultural, and administrative aspects.
  • Minimum
    two years of postsecondary (college or diploma-level) education
    in
    Education, Business, International Studies, Information Technology, or a related field
    .
  • Previous experience in CRM systems, data management, or IT-related work
    , or
    equivalent education
    in these areas.
  • Prior
    office experience
    in education, sales, finance, or administrative environments.
  • Advanced computer literacy
    , including
    MacOS and Windows
    , and proficiency in
    MS Office, Google Workspace, and database tools
    .
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    in both
    English and Turkish
    (professional or native proficiency required).
  • Strong
    leadership, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
    , with the ability to collaborate across departments and cultures.
  • High attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and have access to a personal vehicle for local commuting and occasional travel.

Work Conditions

  • Full-time schedule:
    Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM (35 hours per week)
  • Location: North York, Ontario
  • Occasional travel for events, training, or partner meetings may be required.
