Real Estate Accounting Coordinator (Remote)

Remote – Canada | Full-time

King Realty Co. is one of the fastest-growing real estate brokerages in the GTA — and we're looking for a sharp, detail-driven Accounting Coordinator to join our team remotely.

This role is ideal for someone with bookkeeping or accounting experience in a real estate brokerage who thrives on organization, accuracy, and systems. You'll handle everything from commission statements to trust account reconciliations — working closely with our Broker of Record and Operations team to keep the financial side of the business running smoothly.

What You'll Do

Transaction & Commission Management


• Enter and reconcile real estate sales, lease, and referral transactions.


• Prepare agent commission statements, applying the correct splits, fees, and deductions.


• Track agent caps, franchise fees, and transaction fees.


• Manage commission trust deposits, disbursements, and reconciliations.


• Coordinate co-operating brokerage payments and follow up as needed.

Brokerage Accounting


• Maintain up-to-date accounts payable and receivable.


• Process vendor invoices and expense reimbursements.


• Reconcile Commission Trust and Operating Accounts monthly.


• Support HST filings, year-end summaries, and T4A preparation.


• Assist with financial reports on brokerage revenue, agent payouts, and expenses.

Compliance & Documentation


• Maintain RECO-compliant records for all deals and financial transactions.


• Assist with FINTRAC documentation and ensure records are properly archived.


• Prepare supporting documents for internal audits and external accountants.

Team Collaboration


• Work closely with the operations team, deal secretary, and agents to verify details.


• Communicate clearly and professionally regarding payments, statements, or missing documents.


• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy with all financial data.

What We're Looking For


• 2–4 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, ideally in a real estate brokerage or transaction-heavy business.


• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online, Loft47, or similar accounting platforms.


• Familiarity with SkySlope, BrokerBay, or real estate transaction management systems.


• Intermediate Excel/Google Sheets skills (reconciliations, formulas, reporting).


• Excellent organization, accuracy, and communication skills.


• A proactive, self-managed work style — comfortable working remotely and independently.
