Key Account Manager, Specialty Sales

Job purpose
The role of the Key Account Manager is to maximize the sales and profit potential of the specialty generic portfolio in a defined territory. This will be achieved through the coordination of internal and external stakeholders to ensure Sun specialty products are top of mind with key decision makers and patients across the patient journey and buying process.
Duties and responsibilities
- Achieves / exceeds annual net sales targets in a defined territory in the Quebec and Atlantic Provinces
- Maximize current portfolio sales and profitability
- Develop and implement cross functional business plans for the territory
- Conduct regular business reviews analyzing product performance against key metrics while providing key recommendations for accelerating growth
- Position Sun as a key competitor in the specialty space
- Identify key opportunities and potential partnerships to grow the specialty portfolio
- Establish and maintain business relationships with key stakeholders, including drug access navigators, professional and patient associations, nurses, patient support program coordinators, hospitals and specialty pharmacy
- Develop key advocates and KOLs for peer to peer selling opportunities
- Assist with removing barriers to access by working collaboratively with cross functional colleagues where appropriate
- Profile customers and segment migration in CRM
- Accurate and timely reporting of customer and business records through CRM system using agreed upon performance metrics
- Demonstrated ability to manage accounts while maintaining engagement through in person and digital channels
- Identify best practices and value-added opportunities; build/enhance selling processes and procedures
- Organize local and regional educational opportunities including OLAs, symposia and conferences
- Manage territory expenses appropriately and within budget
Additional responsibility (Only applicable to customer facing roles)
- Report any adverse event received from customers for company products to the pharmacovigilance department / Drug Safety on the same day or within 1 business day
Qualifications
- University degree
- 5 years Specialty key account management experience in Quebec and Atlantic
- 5 years + Hospital pharmacy sales experience
- High emotional intelligence, skilled in cross functional team collaboration
- Product focus on specialty therapeutic areas that include orals, biologics, and injectables; biosimilars an asset
- Oncology experience preferred
- High level of knowledge of regulatory, health authority, provincial cancer agency guidelines and policies in a given province
- Ability to identify customer needs, competition within highly regulated environment
- Handle customer challenges with solutions-based approach
- Creativity in differentiating Sun from competitors
- Ability to cover entire geography of Quebec and Atlantic with ease
- Manage account profitability

- Effectuer des revues d'affaires régulières en analysant la performance des produits par rapport aux indicateurs clés et en fournissant des recommandations pour accélérer la croissance
- Positionner Sun comme un acteur clé dans le domaine des spécialités
- Identifier les opportunités majeures et les partenariats potentiels pour développer le portefeuille spécialisé
- Établir et maintenir des relations d'affaires avec les parties prenantes clés, y compris les navigateurs d'accès aux médicaments, les associations professionnelles et de patients, les infirmiers, les coordinateurs des programmes de soutien aux patients, les hôpitaux et les pharmacies spécialisées
- Développer des leaders d'opinion et des défenseurs clés pour des opportunités de vente entre pairs
- Contribuer à lever les barrières d'accès en travaillant en collaboration avec les collègues transversaux lorsque cela est approprié
- Profiler les clients et gérer la segmentation dans le CRM
- Assurer un reporting précis et ponctuel des données clients et commerciales via le système CRM en utilisant les indicateurs de performance convenus
- Démontrer la capacité à gérer les comptes tout en maintenant l'engagement via des canaux en personne et numériques
- Identifier les meilleures pratiques et les opportunités à valeur ajoutée ; améliorer les processus et procédures de vente
- Organiser des opportunités éducatives locales et régionales, y compris des OLAs, des symposiums et des conférences
- Gérer les dépenses du territoire de manière appropriée et dans le respect du budget
- Signaler tout événement indésirable reçu des clients concernant les produits de la société au département de pharmacovigilance / Sécurité des médicaments le jour même ou dans un délai d'un jour ouvrable
- Diplôme universitaire
- 5 ans d'expérience en gestion de comptes spécialisés au Québec et dans les provinces atlantiques
- Plus de 5 ans d'expérience en ventes en pharmacie hospitalière
- Intelligence émotionnelle élevée, compétences en collaboration interfonctionnelle
- Connaissance des produits dans les domaines thérapeutiques spécialisés incluant les oraux, biologiques et injectables ; les biosimilaires sont un atout
- Expérience en oncologie souhaitée
- Niveau élevé de connaissance des réglementations, des autorités sanitaires, des directives et politiques des agences provinciales du cancer
- Capacité à identifier les besoins des clients et la concurrence dans un environnement fortement réglementé
- Gérer les défis clients avec une approche orientée solutions
- Créativité pour différencier Sun de ses concurrents
- Capacité à couvrir l'ensemble du territoire du Québec et des provinces atlantiques avec aisance
- Gérer la rentabilité des comptes
