About This Opportunity:

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Sr. Finance Analyst provides financial leadership, support and analysis to the finance and sales teams. The role requires that the incumbent work closely with various stakeholders for budgeting, forecasting and analysis.

Responsibilities:
  • Consistent with our leadership values, act as a champion for our culture by participating in the development and execution of a positive and productive environment focused on the needs of our people.

  • Prepare market data reporting and track commodity market-based performance.

  • Lead period-end financial activities.  Ensure adherence to tight month-end schedule, prepare closing journal entries and complete account reconciliations.

  • Responsible for financial reporting, forecasting, and performance analysis for the assigned channels/business units.

  • Interpret financial results and provides financial insights to internal stakeholders including Sales, Operations etc.

  • Explain variances of actuals vs forecast/budget and communicate results effectively to internal business partners.

  • Supports weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual deliveries with a high degree of accuracy and ownership.

  • Provide guidance and coaching to non-finance managers regarding issues of financial control and compliance.

  • Support the overall budget process by coordinating with market, plant and other business units.

  • Ensure all company financial policies and procedures are adhered to.

  • Support month-end trade promotion and deduction reconciliations, including validation of customer claims and preparation of required accruals.

  • Monitor and analyze trade spend vs. forecast, highlighting key variances and partnering with Sales to resolve discrepancies and improve accuracy.

  • Basic understanding for P&L, forecasting and COGS.

Skills & Experience:
  • Post-Secondary Education in Accounting or Business required.

  • Accounting Designation is preferred or actively working towards CPA.

  • Must have excellent systems skills, analytical skills and advanced Excel skills.

  • Demonstrated personal leadership.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non-financial functions.

  • SAP ERP experience is a plus.

  • Power BI and BA experience is a plus.

  • The expected annual compensation for this role is $74,000-$116,000 per year. This includes base salary and eligibility for our annual incentive program.
