About the Role

We are seeking a motivated
Desktop Support Technician
to join our IT support team in
downtown Toronto
. The ideal candidate will provide
hands-on technical support
to users both
on-site
and at
client locations across the GTA
.

This role requires
strong troubleshooting skills
, a
customer-focused attitude
, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a
fast-paced environment
.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide
    on-site and remote desktop support
    for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain
    Windows workstations, laptops, and mobile devices
    .
  • Manage
    user accounts, permissions,
    through
    Active Directory
    and the
    Microsoft 365 Admin Center
    .
  • Support
    Office 365 applications
    , printers, and peripheral devices.
  • Configure and troubleshoot
    VPN connections
    and
    remote access tools
    .
  • Troubleshoot
    connectivity and network access
    issues for end users.
  • Handle and resolve support tickets through the company's
    ticketing system (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, or equivalent)
    while ensuring timely updates and closure.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of
    support requests, resolutions, and IT assets
    .
  • Collaborate with the broader IT team to escalate and resolve complex issues.
  • Drive to
    client sites across the GTA
    as required to provide support (
    company vehicle provided
    ).

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience
    in a desktop or technical support role.
  • Strong knowledge of
    Microsoft Windows OS
    ,
    Active Directory
    , and
    Microsoft 365 administration
    .
  • Experience with
    VPN setup
    , remote desktop tools, and
    Active Directory integration with MS office 365
    .
  • Familiarity with
    hardware troubleshooting
    , imaging, and deployment tools.
  • Excellent
    communication
    ,
    organization
    , and
    problem-solving
    skills.
  • Ability to
    work independently
    and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Valid G-class driver's license
    and
    reliable transportation
    required.
  • CompTIA A+ certification
    (or equivalent technical certification) preferred.
