Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Technician to join our IT support team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing computer networks and related systems to ensure seamless connectivity and security across the organization. Duties

  • Install, configure, and maintain network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and LAN components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues, including LAN/WAN problems and VPN access.
  • Support various operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux in both desktop and server environments.
  • Assist users with desktop support issues related to hardware, software troubleshooting, and operating system configurations.
  • Manage tickets using ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy to document incidents, track resolutions, and ensure timely support delivery.
  • Monitor network performance and security; implement firewall rules and security protocols to protect organizational data.
  • Provide technical support for software applications such as Microsoft Office and other enterprise tools.
  • Collaborate with team members on help desk requests, escalations, and project implementations.
  • Maintain documentation of network configurations, procedures, and system updates.
  • Assist in the deployment of new hardware/software solutions and perform routine maintenance tasks.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN architecture, VLANs, VPNs, and firewall management.
  • Proficiency with operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools and service management platforms like ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy.
  • Knowledge of software troubleshooting techniques for desktops and servers.
  • Familiarity with computer hardware components and their maintenance.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service through clear communication skills in technical support scenarios.
  • Experience supporting help desk operations with a focus on IT support and desktop troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of operating systems management including Windows updates and macOS/Linux configurations. This position is ideal for candidates who are passionate about technology support roles within a collaborative environment that values technical expertise combined with strong communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $53,000.00 per year
