Role Description
This is a contract on-site role for a Speech Language Pathologist at a newly-opened Pediatric Clinic in Richmond Hill, ON. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for: assessing, developing and implementing treatment plans for children with speech, language, and communication disorders. Day-to-day tasks include conducting evaluations, implementing therapy plans, monitoring progress, and collaborating with families, caregivers, and educators to support the development of the child's communication skills. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Qualifications
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills working with infants, toddlers and children ages 0-5 years
- Experience in developing and implementing treatment plans with the 0-5 population
- Expertise in diagnosing and treating Speech, Dysphagia, and Language Disorders
- Knowledge and experience in working with Communication Disorders
- Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on assessments
- Proficiency in up-to-date therapeutic modalities and approaches for working with a paediatric population in a play-based and trauma-informed capacity
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to work with families
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field
- Relevant qualifications and certifications in speech and language pathology that apply both Provincially (Ontario) and Federally (Canada).
- Experience in treating a variety of paediatric genetic conditions, neurodevelopmental concerns, and neurodivergent populations
- Specialized experience working with infants and babies
- Bonus if you have language proficiency in another language
