We are looking for a client-focused and dynamic Solution Architect for our Edmonton branch You will contribute to the business by designing tailored client solutions providing client support in a professional and courteous manner. What Your Role at Long View Looks Like:
  • Ensure technology designs and implementations solve clients' requirements and challenges
  • Design, architect and implement standard or custom technical solutions (at times oversees the design, architecture and implementation)
  • Develop complete technology solutions across a breadth of technology options, taking into account all aspects of architecture including business and technical requirements, sizing, infrastructure, data protection, security and recovery items
  • Create relevant documentation as required (including but not limited to conceptual design, logical design, physical design, bill of materials, as-built diagrams, knowledge transfer materials, FAQs, transition to operations information)
  • Industry Events Collaborator
  • Represents Long View at vendor and industry events as required
  • Participate and contribute including sharing learnings and information with the larger Long View team that is not present at the event
  • May host presentations and/or education sessions
  • Trusted Advisor
  • Align with clients to build long term relationships that further business value for both the client and Long View
  • Analyze complex requirements and develops IT strategies and multi-technology solutions aligned with industry-accepted best practices
  • Keep abreast of relevant industry certifications and accreditations as aligned with key practices and technology partners
What You Bring to Long View:
  • 10+ years of experience working as a subject matter expert in at least 2 technology areas (Microsoft, cloud, virtualization and networking), one of which must be Microsoft
  • Advanced level understanding of a wide range of technologies such as: Server, Exchange, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP/LDAP, ADFS, Office 365, Azure, System Center Suite, Intune, Hyper V and VMware vSphere
  • Capability to translate technical features into tangible business benefits
  • Ability to effectively communicate to different audiences including internal stakeholders and peers clearly and concisely in written, oral and various presentation formats and situations
  • Ability to facilitate impactful workshops (envisioning workshops, art-of-the-possible sessions)
  • Familiarity with the sales process and willingness to work within the approved Long View processes
  • Previous experience responding to RFPs, RFQs and RFIs
  • Demonstrated life-long learner who is motivated to stay relevant in area of expertise
  • Solution focused mindset and creative thinker
  • Strong consulting, collaboration and leadership skills
  • Exposure to new and emerging technologies such as MS Teams is considered an asset
  • Microsoft related technical certifications
