Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team at a apartment building in Guelph. This is a part-time position (13 hours per week) with a mix of medium and heavy-duty cleaning tasks. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, consistency, and strong attention to detail.

Schedule (13 hours/week):

  • 3 hours – Saturday or Sunday
  • 4 hours – Monday morning
  • 3 hours – Tuesday (mornings preferred)
  • 3 hours – Thursday or Friday (mornings preferred)

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain common areas of the building.
  • Clean and stock washrooms.
  • Perform detailed cleaning of glass, windows, and stainless steel.
  • Sweep, mop, and maintain large floor areas.
  • Trouble shooting garbage compactor interruptions
  • Assisting other staff moving garbage bins as needed
  • Collect and remove litter from grounds.
  • Handle keys, fobs, and elevator bookings responsibly.
  • Report maintenance issues, damages, leaks, or security concerns to management (including photos when necessary).
  • Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment as required.

Job Requirements

  • 1+ years of professional cleaning experience preferred.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and reliability are essential.
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with residents and staff.
  • Comfortable using a cell phone for communication (messages, photos, emails).
  • Ability to lift up to 44 lbs (e.g., filling softener salt tanks) is an asset.

  • Familiarity with cleaning high-touch areas such as elevators, restrooms, and windows.

Compensation
