The Marketing Coordinator is a key member of ISL's Marketing and Creative Services team, supporting business development by creating, elevating, and maximizing marketing content across all channels. This role is ideal for an experienced communicator who can think strategically and bring structure and creativity to content planning.
This position is open to our major offices in Alberta and BC including Edmonton, Calgary, Burnaby and Langley.

Your Strengths
A Little About You
You are a strong writer and editor with a passion for storytelling. You think strategically about content, proactively identifying how a single idea can be adapted across multiple channels.
You are comfortable taking the lead on projects - from gathering information to writing, planning, and collaborating with our internal teams to reach the final product. A people person, you enjoy building relationships with Project Managers and internal teams, becoming their go-to advisor for marketing direction, writing support, and content strategy.
You stay current with AI-supported writing tools, AI SEO best practices, and understand how to optimize content for discoverability and performance.
Your Cover Letter Must Demonstrate
- Your ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- How you approach strategic content planning and multi-channel storytelling.
- Examples of writing for different audiences and content types (include portfolio samples).
Your Resume Should Show Us
- Completion of a marketing and/or communications related Diploma/Degree
- 3-5 years of experience in marketing, communications or content creation
- Proven writing and editing experience across digital, print, social and internal communications
- Experience with content workflows, project coordination and working directly with subject matter experts
Bonus Points For
- Previous experience working in an engineering, construction or architectural office
- Knowledge of WordPress or other website-building tools
- Knowledge of Canva
- Knowledge of SharePoint
- Video experience
A Little More About The Role
The ideal candidate is an organized self-starter with an acute attention to detail. You will play an integral role in shaping how ISL communicates its work - both internally and externally. Responsibilities include:
- Interviewing Project Managers and technical leads to gather information and develop compelling stories about ISL projects and people.
- Writing and editing for blogs, ads, brochures, project features, award submissions, website content and other materials as needed.
- Updating and maintaining a content calendar to ensure timely and coordinated delivery of materials.
- Following ISL brand guidelines, styles and formats.
- Assisting in the coordination of additional marketing tasks including maintaining an organized photo library and providing marketing support for conference/sponsorship opportunities.

Depending on your experience level, the salary range (based on a 40-hour work week) is:
- $60,000 - $67,000 annually
