Community Fundraising Coordinator (Montreal)
to expand our clients' presence and offline impact in Montreal and surrounding region.

Position Summary

We're searching for a
Community Fundraising Coordinator – Montreal
to lead and elevate our clients' grassroots fundraising activities across the region. In this role, you will build partnerships with local nonprofits, MSA's, and Masajid; coordinate fundraising events and tours; and activate communities through challenges, Ramadan collections, and major speaker events.

This is the perfect role for someone who loves storytelling, community engagement, and the thrill of seeing a campaign come to life—on the ground and in real time.

Key Responsibilities
Masajid Engagement & Fundraising

  • Build strong, ongoing relationships with Masajid across Montreal & Surrounding areac.
  • Present client campaigns and impact stories to secure support and collections (Jummah, Ramadan, Zakat, Fitr, Qurbani, and emergency appeals).
  • Coordinate community events and tours featuring globally recognized speakers.

MSA Collaboration & Community Partnerships

  • Partner with MSAs to host creative, student-led fundraising events.
  • Foster long-term relationships to ensure consistent campaign support year-round
  • Engage local community groups to co-host fundraising dinners and events for global causes (e.g., Gaza, Sudan, orphan programs).
  • Cultivate partnerships that expand awareness and drive measurable impact.

Fundraising Challenges & Volunteer Recruitment

  • Plan and execute fun, engaging summer fundraising challenges that inspire physical activity
    and
    purpose-driven giving.
  • Build and manage a reliable volunteer team to support dinners, Masajid events, and collection drives.

Qualifications

  • 1–2+ years of community fundraising experience.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent writing and storytelling abilities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
  • Passionate about nonprofit growth and community impact.
  • Must have access to a vehicle and be available for evenings, weekends, and travel (all travel reimbursed).
  • Asset:
    Fluency in Arabic.
