From small scratches to heavy collision repairs, our team can carefully analyze, assess, and fix damaged vehicles.
We're currently seeking an Auto Body Prepper to add to our expanding and award-winning team. This job is an excellent opportunity if you wish to seek new challenges in your career within the Collision industry.
The Auto Body Prepper's duties include:
- Sanding the vehicle surfaces using sandpaper, grinders, or other tools to create a smooth surface for painting.
- Apply masking tape and paper to protect areas of the vehicle that will not be painted.
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer.
- Ensure proper adhesion of paint by removing dirt, debris, and imperfections from the surfaces.
- Assist with mixing paint and primers according to manufacturer specifications.
- Assist with operating and maintaining painting equipment and tools.
- Collaborate with the painting team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality work.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
To be successful in this role, the Auto Body Prepper will:
- Be able to work in a team environment and take directions from the Production Manager.
- Be personable, customer service oriented.
- Have a strong work ethic, integrity, and ambition to succeed.
- Be highly organized and detail oriented.
- Be able to prioritize and manage deadlines.
- Have knowledge and understanding of different types of sanding and masking techniques.
- Be familiar with automotive paints, primers and painting equipment.
- Have physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and work
Training & Certifications will be provided as required.
Benefits package shall be available upon successful completion of the three-month probation period. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. Job Type: Full-time, Permanent. Salary commensurate with experience and industry standards.
Must have a valid drivers license and be legally entitled to work in Canada with no restrictions.
