Oakville, Ontario, Canada Heartache2Hope Full time

Manager of Fundraising Full-Time, Hybrid (Oakville, ON) | Help more people heal after suicide loss.

Heartache2Hope (H2H) provides compassionate, specialized grief supports for people bereaved by suicide—through individual counselling, professional and peer-led groups, and community programs. Founded in Halton in 2014, we now serve clients across Ontario and are growing quickly. We offer a continuum of supportive services focused on helping individuals heal after a suicide loss while building resilience and recreating a fulfilling life. Our services include both Individual and Group Supports with Specialized Counsellors and Peer Supporters.

We have experienced significant growth in the demand for our services, and we want to continue to meet the needs of our communities.

We're hiring a
Manager of Fundraising
to lead fundraising and stewardship so H2H can sustainably fund our expanding services. If you're a relationship-builder who can turn a mission into momentum, we'd love to hear from you.

What you will do

  • Own annual revenue goals
(set with the ED and Engagement Committee Chair) and deliver against them.
  • Identify, cultivate, and solicit
foundations, corporations, community groups, and individual donors; create customized proposals, sponsorship packages, briefs, and presentations.
  • Grow the pipeline
through proactive research and prospecting; acquire new supporters and deepen/upgrade existing relationships.
  • Lead mission-driven campaigns & events
     (e.g.,
    Walk2Remember
) with support from leadership, the Board, and committee members.
  • Steward with care:
design and run a gold-standard acknowledgement, recognition, and engagement program that builds loyalty.
  • Manage the CRM
and reporting: ensure accurate revenue tracking; prepare ROI and activation reports for sponsors/donors; monitor KPIs.
  • Navigate and Respect
the sensitive nature of our services when promoting and representing the organization.

What you bring

  • Post-secondary degree (CFRE an asset).
  • Demonstrated success across annual giving, stewardship, and sponsorship/major gift solicitation.
  • Fluency with fundraising best practices and donor management software/CRM.
  • Strong presentation and relationship skills across corporates, foundations, community orgs, government, and individual donors.
  • Excellent prospecting instincts and follow-through; creative, actionable fundraising ideas.
  • Clear, compelling writer (grant writing an asset); comfortable with email and social media fundraising.
  • Organized, detail-driven, self-directed professional who can navigate sensitive subject matter with care and discretion.
  • Able to provide a Police Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening.

Work setup

  • Hybrid:
mix of remote and off-site meetings/events (primarily Mon–Fri days; some evenings/weekends as required).
  • Bring your own laptop/phone; reliable travel within the region is required.
  • Full-time + Events and other ad-hoc networking activities

First 90 Days – Success Markers

In your first three months, success will look like:

  • A documented
    fundraising and stewardship plan
with target segments, asks, and timelines.
  • At least
    30 qualified prospects
added to the donor pipeline, with
    5 active proposals
     in motion.

  • stewardship calendar
launched to guide donor communications and recognition.
  • CRM and donor records fully updated with accurate reporting cadence in place.

How to apply

Please send your
resume
 and a
one-page cover letter
explaining your interest and relevant experience to
Sharlene Plewman, Chief Administrative Officer
.
