About the role

We're hiring a Senior Front-End Developer who loves crafting beautiful, intuitive interfaces and turning complex ideas into seamless user experiences. In this role, you'll be a key contributor to our front-end architecture, champion best practices, and mentor others on the team. Responsibilities:

• Successfully gather and understand requirements from stakeholders in order to identify gaps and deliver on those objectives
• Work closely with Design and Development teams to manage the iterative agile development process for new and existing products; assist in estimating resource needs and timelines
• Develop effective user interfaces (UI) and user experience (UX); develop small iterative improvements to user interactions
• Conduct requirement gathering meetings/research with stakeholders; clarifying requirements and making necessary changes to meet business needs
• Work on an interdisciplinary team that includes designers and developers to build prototypes and conduct user testing
• The desire to attempt best-in-class execution in every project
• Mentoring Front-End Developers and Design Technologists
• Componentizing and improving our Front-End codebase

Education and Experience:

• Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years of Front-End Development (or related) experience
• Experience working closely with designers and developers is a must

Skills:

• Software skills; ability to use/learn a variety of software i.e. Adobe CC, Figma, Sketch, VS Code, etc.
• Collaboration Skills – ability to brainstorm creative solutions using wireframes/sketches/whiteboarding while leveraging solid design principles on a diverse team in a dynamic, rapid growth environment
• The role requires a results-oriented and efficient planner focusing on user needs
• Committed to continuous professional development and training
• Mastery of HTML, CSS, SCSS, and JavaScript
• Familiarity with a variety of front-end development frameworks is valued
• Experience working in a Ruby on Rails-based environment is a plus

Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency in French, Spanish or German is preferred to support our diverse client base across North America and globally.
