Human Resources Coordinator
. This position reports to Director of Human Resources and will work in Vancouver, BC.

Vancouver:
Dometic Marine's headquarters are in Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada. The facility develops and manufactures hydraulic, electronic, and combustion-based products.

As
Human Resources Coordinator
on the Vancouver team, you will be involved in supporting a wide range of Human Resources functions. This position is responsible for collecting, inputting, and maintaining accurate HR data, to ensure seamless tracking and reporting. In addition to data management, the HR Coordinator will contribute to core operational activities by assisting with recruitment efforts and supporting employee engagement and retention initiatives.

General Responsibilities
Human Resources & Labour Relations Administration

  • Maintains and files highly sensitive documents securely
  • Prepares and updates electronic employee files
  • Ensures HRIS systems (UKG, PMP, Org Charts, Headcount reports) are updated to reflect new hires, terminations, and status changes
  • Drafts employment verification letters upon request from the HR team
  • Prepares and distributes internal correspondence and announcements
  • Provides reception coverage during breaks (phones, emails, general inquiries)
  • Manages physical company keys across all departments
  • Distributes and files NDA requests
  • Supports planning and coordination of company events and meetings
  • Maintains current employee and seniority lists
  • Coordinates employee attendance for Quarterly Employee Talks
  • Orders and maintains inventory of company-branded shirts and promotional items

Benefits Administration

  • Serves as frontline administrator for employee benefits programs
  • Assist employees with benefit enrollments, updates, and terminations in HRIS (extended health & dental)
  • Reconciles monthly benefit invoices and ensures timely payments
  • Coordinates financial planning education seminars with benefit providers
  • Investigate discrepancies related to benefit policies, coverage, or claims

Recruitment (Temporary Hourly Production Workers)

  • Manages full-cycle recruitment for hourly and temporary employees
  • Conducts new hire orientations for hourly and salaried employees
  • Ensures new hire checklists are completed
  • Prepare new hire welcome packages
  • Coordinates and attends recruitment events, including career fairs
  • Maintains training records in Skills Matrix and Quality Systems Management
  • Other Ad hoc projects and assignments assigned.

Skills & Requirements
The ideal candidate for this role will bring demonstrated success in (operational/engineering/manufacturing/etc.) environment. Additionally, they will have acquired the following qualifications and experiences:

  • A minimum of 1-3 years' experience in a multi-disciplinary role in Human Resources or related discipline
  • At minimum, completion of or working towards diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or another related discipline
  • CPHR candidate, experience in Labour Relations, are considered assets

  • Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to prioritize a variety of tasks
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office programs including: Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint; and, the ability to learn other applications quickly
  • Ability to work well independently and as an essential part of a team
  • Previous experience in an engineering/manufacturing industry would be an asset
