Our client, a prominent multi-service firm, is currently seeking a seasoned family lawyer to join their esteemed family group in Mississauga. The ideal candidate will bring to the role a minimum of 4 years of experience in family law, demonstrating a strong commitment to excellence in their work and a keen understanding of the significance of providing exceptional client service.

What you will need to succeed

To be eligible for this role, candidates must possess a minimum of 4 years of experience in a law firm specializing in Family Law matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for cultivating their own legal practice, catering to sophisticated, high net worth clients with Family Law concerns, including issues related to support, property, and parenting.

A comprehensive understanding of contested divorces, custody and access disputes, child, and spousal support, as well as property and equalization of net family property is essential. Expertise in Division of Assets and Finances is also a requisite.

In this newly established position, the candidate should demonstrate the ability to work independently or collaboratively with senior lawyers within a well-established and expanding team. Strong analytical and communication skills are paramount, emphasizing the importance of delivering outstanding, cost-effective, and responsive legal services to clients. An entrepreneurial spirit, coupled with robust academic credentials and exceptional client management skills, is essential.

Furthermore, candidates must be members of the Ontario Bar in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario. Key success factors include a superior work ethic, self-motivation, and meticulous attention to detail.
