Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to recipes and standards
- Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation
- Handle food with care, adhering to proper food handling and safety procedures
- Assist in plating and garnishing dishes for service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment
- Support the team during busy service hours, ensuring timely delivery of orders
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food safety and sanitation
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Experience
- Prior experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking within a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and kitchen equipment operation is essential
- Experience in the food industry or restaurant setting will be advantageous
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and food safety standards is highly desirable
- Previous experience as a line cook or prep cook will be considered a plus
This role requires a passion for culinary arts, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Candidates should demonstrate excellent teamwork skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
