POSITION OVERVIEW:
Beovexis is looking for a Data Analyst that can support business stakeholders to drive stronger results through faster decision making, management of risks, development of tailored product and services, market and portfolio expansion, and improved operational efficiencies. This role will pull and analyze large amounts of relevant data and translate that data into results that effectively track performance, trends, patterns, and predictions
This individual should have an entrepreneurial spirit that encourages curiosity and innovation, data mining skills, natural aptitude for tools as well as an analytical mind that supports problem - solving through data-driven solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with the Business Intelligence Team and stakeholders to develop key business and operational KPIs to support over all strategic goals as well as monthly reports that communicate performance, trends/patterns, and predictions against those goals.
- Mine large amounts of data from primary and secondary sources (BMS, insurer, market, etc.) that can be easily read by either human or machine, and support translating the findings into key insights to support the business.
- Support the design and maintenance of data systems and databases; this includes fixing errors and other data-related problems.
- Assist to develop/run standard and ad-hoc reporting dashboards to support decision-making including rate/underwriting, territories/demographics, portfolio mix, etc. to ensure that opportunities and risks are understood.
- Support building and embedding sustainable analytics & reporting practices designed to support Beovexiss unique needs including the development of policies for data governance, reusable high-impact tactics and artefacts.
- Collaborate with the team to enhance sustainable analytic dashboards for better understanding of business performance, retention, growth and profitability.
- Assist with special projects - identify and research business needs and determine solutions to problems using various methodologies, tools and implementations strategies to achieve business objective.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree in mathematical science, statistics, economics, IT and/or related field.
- High aptitude for tools including intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access and SQL (or equivalent systems such as R or Python), intelligence systems such as machine learning , artificial intelligence) and data visualization software such as PowerBi.
- Experience in a similar analytical or data-driven environment.
- Business intuition, problem solving, critical and analytical thinking.
- Curious, quick study with effective and collaborative interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
- Self-driven and confident approach to tackling accountabilities with pace.
- Insurance experience is a nice to have.
