Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Abatement Worker to join our team. This role involves performing hazardous material removal and environmental remediation tasks to ensure safe and compliant work environments. The ideal candidate will have experience with cleaning, construction, and restoration processes, utilizing various hand tools and power tools. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting focused on safety, precision, and environmental health.
Responsibilities
- Safely remove hazardous materials such as asbestos, lead paint, or mold from affected areas
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform demolition, removal, and restoration tasks
- Prepare work sites by setting up containment barriers and safety equipment
- Perform cleaning and decontamination procedures following safety protocols
- Assist with construction and restoration activities as needed to restore affected areas
- Follow all safety guidelines and environmental regulations during abatement processes
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and materials used
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met efficiently
Experience
- Prior experience in cleaning, construction, or restoration is preferred
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools and power tools in a professional setting
- Knowledge of environmental safety standards related to hazardous material removal is a plus
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments and adhere to strict safety protocols
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively within a team environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
