Overview

BjornBar Bakery is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Representative to join our team. As the first point of contact for our customers, you'll provide exceptional service in a lively and fast-paced environment. Your primary responsibility will be to assist customers with their inquiries, ensure they have a positive experience, and maintain food safety standards. A background in the food industry is preferred, as you'll be interacting with customers regarding our delicious menu of pastries, sandwiches, specialty barista drinks, alcohol drinks, and more Barista/bartender experience is required to excel in this role.

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and assist with orders, answering any questions they may have.
  • Provide detailed information about menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and daily specials.
  • Accurately handle cash transactions using POS systems, ensuring smooth checkout.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations in all aspects of customer service.
  • Assist with food preparation and service during peak hours, maintaining cleanliness and organization.
  • Address customer concerns or complaints in a professional and timely manner, striving for a positive resolution.
  • Stay updated on current promotions, seasonal specials, and any menu changes to inform customers.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations, especially during busy times.
  • Prepare and serve specialty barista drinks, and alcoholic drinks, ensuring high-quality beverages and customer satisfaction.

Skills

  • Barista experience is required, with a passion for creating quality coffee and specialty drinks.
  • Bartending experience is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with a diverse clientele.
  • Experience in the food industry is a plus, including familiarity with food safety practices.
  • Proficient in handling cash and operating POS systems efficiently.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and menu items is beneficial.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving and customer interactions.
