Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Electrical Journeyperson located in Calgary, AB. Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in both residential and commercial settings. The role involves reading and interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams, troubleshooting electrical systems, conducting maintenance inspections, and ensuring all systems comply with Alberta safety standards. Additional tasks may include collaborating with other contractors and team members, providing expertise on custom electrical designs, and helping with energy-efficient installations or EV charger systems.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Electricity and the installation, maintenance, and repair of Electrical Equipment
- Experience with Electrical Design, including custom solutions
- Knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles as they apply to residential, commercial, and industrial projects
- Understanding of Power Generation systems
- Comprehensive knowledge of Alberta electrical codes and safety practices
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Journeyperson certification in electrical trade is required
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain attention to detail
- Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- 5+ years experience
