Calgary, Alberta, Canada Building Automation Systems Full time

Building Automation Systems is looking for Journeypersons to support new commercial electrical projects, service oriented construction electrical work. Promote and maintain company policies and maintain safe working environments for all. We are building members of a team for long term employment. BAS is a small/medium sized business that develops and expects employees to grow into leadership roles within the company.

Please note this post is for Journeyperson, apprentices will not be considered at this time, thank you.

Successful candidates must have,

  • Skills in a variety of electrical installations.
  • Strong problem management & trouble shooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, initiative and confidence.
  • A team attitude, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver's License.
  • Available to work in Calgary and surrounding areas.
  • Follow CEC Code.
  • Able to manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Ability to train and coach apprentices

Requirements

  • Lift Operating Certificate (Scissor/Boom)
  • CSTS (must be current)
  • Fall Arrest Certificate
  • WHMIS Certificate
  • Commercial experience required
  • Previous electrical service experience preferred
  • Certified and qualified Red Seal Journeyperson credentials

Responsibilities

  • Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform construction and renovation tasks efficiently.
  • Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate installations and repairs.
  • Conduct electrical work with a focus on low voltage systems, adhering to safety standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions effectively.
  • Maintain compliance with CSTS, WHMIS, and other relevant certifications while demonstrating strong communication skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $40.00-$42.00 per hour
