Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Elderly Caregivers to provide high-quality care. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the needs of seniors and be skilled in assisting with daily living activities. This role requires patience, empathy, and the ability to work effectively with individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Provide medication administration as per care plans and ensure compliance with prescribed schedules.
  • Monitor vital signs and report any changes in the client's condition to healthcare professionals.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning based on dietary needs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties, including cleaning and laundry.
  • Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
  • Provide companionship and support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
  • Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, including those for patients with developmental disabilities or chronic illnesses.
  • Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary for safe patient transfers.

Experience

Candidates should possess experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Home health care or hospice care experience would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
