Are you ready to take on a pivotal role where you'll oversee the entire marketing plan for our Business Sales & Solutions division? As our Marketing Senior Planner, you'll be accountable for managing comprehensive service development roadmaps and workplans, driving the division's growth by generating and safeguarding sales revenues, and expanding our market position. This role carries full responsibility for both the strategic direction and execution of Business Sales & Solution's short- and long-term marketing plans. You'll also be in charge of monthly variance reporting to closely monitor and track marketing plan outcomes. Importantly, you'll ensure that Business Sales & Solution's business marketing direction and strategies are seamlessly linked with other divisions and fully aligned with our overall corporate vision. GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Responsible to generate and protect sales revenues, and expand market position, by overall responsibility for the Business Sales short and long term strategic business plans. Accountable for monthly variance reporting to track business plan results. Responsible for linkage to other divisions, especially Marketing to ensure the direction and strategies for Business Sales are aligned with the overall corporate direction. Partners with Senior Management to define strategic direction for Business Sales.

Specific Accountabilities

  • Responsible for research and development of short-term and long- term strategic business plans for the assigned market segments including revenue, profitability, market share, human resources, and technology, that reflect the evolution of the industry and alignment with corporate priorities.
  • Drives the planning process of the business unit by monitoring and facilitating the assessment of business drivers, which influence the market segment initiatives. Ensure that business unit plan supports the Sales division's plans by participating in the division planning process, and the Marketing plan by providing input and receiving feedback on their plan.
  • Maintains and expands working knowledge of the relevant existing and future business requirements of the market segments by monitoring industry research and participating in seminars and industry presentations.
  • Facilitates the creation of, communicates, tracks and reports on business plans and key initiatives to ensure the department is focused on evolving to meet the changing Customer, People and Business needs of the corporation. Provides regular and special reports with analysis, interpretation and recommendations when needed to senior management on all aspects of business unit activities.
  • Contributes to optimum team performance by demonstrating leadership and cooperation. Creates a positive work environment by providing motivation to achieve performance targets, as well as providing professional staff development, recognition and feedback.
  • Contributes to Business Sales profitability and decision making through project management, analysis and reporting of special projects needed to develop or achieve business plan objectives. Deliver necessary reports, documentation, and presentations to enable senior management to understand business implications in the approval process.
  • Maximizes SaskTel's market share through the development of professional business relationships, maintaining a high level of presence in the community, which enhances customer satisfaction and increases awareness of SaskTel and our products and services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Commerce or Business Administration Certificate and considerable experience (5) years in related field.
  • Strong planning, conceptual, analytical, research and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to deal effectively with others.
  • Strong team leader and member, able to influence the performance of others.
  • Ability to integrate objectives, industry trends, technology impacts, product benefits, customer perception, market characteristics, competitive thrusts and technology issues to provide leadership on establishing strategic long term direction.
  • Knowledge of and experience in Business Sales is preferred.

  • Responsible for negotiation, execution and/or enforcement of contracts for obtaining goods and services related to the area of responsibility.
  • Accountable for proactively identifying, inspiring, and acting on opportunities to innovate and drive process improvements, develop growth initiatives, and improve revenue and/or reduce costs. Driving valuable customer experiences and employee engagement, improving sustainability, and demonstrates commitment to the communities that we serve.
