Born in the Prairies, now part of a worldwide network, SKIP is a tech company with an entrepreneurial spirit and the drive to be the best. We're a people-first, collaborative company with a fun, dynamic and innovative environment. Our vision is to empower everyday convenience. Whether it's a Friday-night feast, a post-gym poke bowl, grabbing some groceries or sunscreen, our tech platform connects tens of millions of customers with hundreds of thousands of restaurant, grocery and convenience partners across the globe.
The Associate Director, Value Proposition will shape and execute Skip's overarching customer value strategy — ensuring every touchpoint, from pricing and fees to loyalty and merchandising, delivers a clear and compelling reason for customers to choose Skip.
This role will assess company strengths, market data, customer insights, and competitive pressures to define and continually refine Skip's value proposition — encompassing delivery fees, service fees, promotions, loyalty, assortment, and merchandising. The successful candidate will combine analytical rigor with strategic creativity to design programs that drive customer loyalty, frequency, and marketplace growth, while balancing economics.
Working cross-functionally, the Associate Director will lead the design and execution of pricing, delivery fee, and merchandising strategies, and ensure that Skip's loyalty, promotional, and care policies consistently reinforce the company's customer promise and market positioning.
These are some of the key ingredients to the role:Value Proposition Strategy
- Develop and continuously refine a holistic value proposition that clearly articulates why customers choose Skip — balancing affordability, quality, and reliability.
- Translate customer insights, competitive intelligence, and business performance data into actionable strategies that drive differentiation and growth.
Pricing, Fees & Merchandising
- Lead strategy and execution for pricing, delivery fees, and service fees to optimize growth and margin performance while improving price perception.
- Partner with analytics, finance, and operations to evaluate elasticity, test new fee structures, and ensure transparent, customer-first pricing models.
- Define and implement merchandising strategies that highlight the right restaurants, offers, and experiences to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with Marketing, Loyalty, Care, Operations, and Product teams to ensure all elements of Skip's customer experience ladder up to the value proposition strategy.
- Align loyalty programs, promotions, and customer care policies with Skip's strategic positioning and pricing framework.
Performance & Insights
- Develop KPIs and dashboards to measure value perception, customer engagement, and program ROI.
- Use insights to recommend ongoing improvements to pricing, fees, and promotional strategy.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 7–10 years of progressive experience in marketplace, consumer technology, pricing strategy, or growth marketing.
- Proven success designing and implementing customer-centric pricing or value strategies within fast-paced, data-driven environments.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to synthesize data into actionable strategy.
- Exceptional cross-functional leadership and communication skills; able to influence across Marketing, Product, and Operations teams.
- Strategic mindset balanced with executional excellence and bias for action.
Core Competencies:
- Customer Obsessed: Keeps the customer at the centre of decision-making.
- Data-Driven & Commercial: Uses insights to balance growth, loyalty, and profitability.
- Collaborative Leader: Builds strong alignment across cross-functional teams.
- Innovative Thinker: Challenges the status quo to create simple, differentiated experiences.
