Background:

Prairie Velo Corp is expanding and seeking to fill a newly created position for Mechanic/ Product Specialist.

In this role, the candidate will support multiple business lines (retail, specialty bikes and distribution) and do quality checks, warranty repairs and provide general mechanic support.

We also provide support to clients across Canada to keep them "wheeling." This is done via video calls, telephone and support / troubleshooting. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Role:

We are looking to add the right human who enjoys the satisfaction of helping people remain active and is committed to expanding their mechanical abilities. Our ideal guru would have a couple years of wrenching experience and a level of comfort with bike sales (in person and virtual).

Duties

  • Perform routine maintenance (including specialty and adaptive bicycles)
  • Quality control for incoming bike orders (all custom).
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns.
  • Working within our integrated logistics team to provide support for packaging/ preparing bikes for delivery (across Canada).

Experience

  • Proven mechanical knowledge (bikes or associated industries) with hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing equipment.
  • Previous experience in a retail bike shop or adaptive bike/medical device supplier is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to handle heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Mechanical ability
