Job Summary

The Dog Daycare Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Party Dawgz daycare services, ensuring high standards of animal care, customer service, staff coordination, and facility cleanliness. This role acts as the primary point of contact for dog parents, vendors, and team members, playing a key role in maintaining a positive, safe, and engaging environment for dogs and their families.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Communication:

  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from clients and vendors
  • Reach out to inactive clients to re-engage them
  • Request reviews from satisfied clients after services
  • Respond to after-hours client messages or calls as needed, ensuring timely communication for urgent matters and coordinating follow-up the next business day if appropriate
  • Communicate with dog parents before, during, and after visits
  • Provide updates, photos, and report cards during dog stays
  • Handle client concerns or special requests promptly and professionally

Staff Supervision & Scheduling:

  • Schedule staff shifts and ensure adequate coverage
  • Oversee completion of daily cleaning tasks and checklists
  • Supervise and support staff during shifts
  • Provide training, coaching, and feedback to staff as needed
  • Respond to staff questions or concerns when no other manager is present or on call, providing guidance and support as needed to maintain safe and consistent operations

Operations & Administration:

  • Respond to scheduling challenges, staff absences, and urgent operational needs as required
  • Adapt to daily operational needs, including stepping in to cover shifts when necessary
  • Document and communicate any incidents involving dogs, including behavior or health concerns
  • Provide weekly updates to ownership on staff performance, client feedback, and operational highlights
  • Manage dog onboarding assessments, documentation, and follow-ups
  • Maintain and update PawPartner with accurate client records, scheduling details, and operational notes
  • Track assessments, food routines, calendars, and whiteboards
  • Upsell services at client check-in/out

Event Planning & Community Engagement:

  • Organize and promote holiday and themed events
  • Coordinate vet gifts, drop-offs, and local outreach
  • Capture/collect and post social media content

Facility Management & Cleaning Oversight:

  • Regularly inspect and monitor facility supplies and overall cleanliness to maintain standards; place orders as necessary
  • Ensure the facility is clean, safe, and ready for dogs and clients each day
  • Oversee and complete opening/closing duties, including sanitation, garbage removal, and seasonal maintenance
  • Maintain cleaning equipment and uphold hygiene standards in all areas

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Experience in animal care or a similar supervisory role preferred
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
  • Comfortable with physical tasks (lifting, cleaning, working outdoors)
  • Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
  • Familiarity with PawPartner or similar scheduling software an asset

  • Represent Party Dawgz with a positive, solutions-focused attitude
  • Maintain professionalism in all communication with staff, clients, and vendors
  • Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and integrity in all aspects of the role

Work Conditions

  • Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs
  • Must be comfortable working with a variety of dog breeds and temperaments
  • Work is performed indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
