What your day could look like

You hop in your car, coffee in hand, heading to your first jog. Maybe it's sunny, maybe there's snow, either way you're ready. You jog dogs, visit cats, and send updates that make pet parents smile. Some days you help a shy dog build confidence, other days you hit a new personal best. You're independent but never on your own, your team is always one message away.

You'll thrive here if you:

• Love being active and outdoors (rain, shine, or snow)
• Are reliable and calm when things change
• Enjoy working solo but value being part of a supportive team
• Are tech-savvy enough to juggle a few apps that keep our day running like clockwork.
• Manage your time like a pro and solve problems on the fly
• Want to keep learning, from dog behaviour to reactivity work
• Can commit for at least a year (our pets love consistency)

The details:

• Pay: $15/hr + tips (average $800+/month doing what you love)
• Shifts: Mon–Fri (9–2, 10–3, 11–4, or 12–5)
• Availability: Minimum 3 days/week plus one weekend/month required. More days = more hours and more pets to care for
• Requirements: able to jog 6–10 km/hr and walk 3–10 km/day, have a vehicle & smartphone, 18+, clear police check, legally eligible to work in Canada
• Locations: Edmonton, St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Ardrossan, Beaumont

Your path forward

At Dog Jogs, we don't just fill shifts; we build careers.

After 3 months, you could become a Head Jogger, helping train others and earning a pay bump.

After 6 months, you might step into a Team Lead role, supporting staff, assisting with clients, and earning more responsibility (and pay).

• This job can be physically demanding, with jogging and walking up to 20 km a day in all kinds of weather. How often do you currently run, walk, or do similar exercise?
• While we strive to keep our staff working closer to home, some days we need help in different areas we service. We service all of Edmonton, St.Albert, Sherwood Park, Ardrossan and Beaumont, are you willing to drive to these locations?
• Are you comfortable caring for both large and small dogs, as well as cats of all breeds? Tell us a bit about your comfort level.
• Would you be comfortable working with a dog that may lunge and bark at distractions (dogs/other people/bikes etc) on a walk or jog?
• Do you have your own reliable vehicle?
• We require a criminal record check. Are you willing to get one? (We do not reimburse for it)
• What is your availability Monday to Friday? Please let us know which of the following shift windows you can consistently work: 9am–2pm, 10am–3pm, 11am–4pm or 12-5pm. Also, are you available one weekend a month? *Applications without clear shift availability may not be considered.
• Our insurance requires all staff to be 18 or older. Please confirm you are 18 or older.
