Role Description

We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee housekeeping staff and ensure all guest rooms and common areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness. The successful candidate will support daily operations, staff training, scheduling, and coordination with other departments.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise housekeeping staff: The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the housekeeping staff, ensuring they are providing excellent customer service and adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Assign housekeeping tasks: The Housekeeping Supervisor assigns housekeeping tasks to staff, ensuring that all rooms are cleaned and ready for guests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Train and develop staff: The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for training and developing housekeeping staff, ensuring they are properly trained on company policies and procedures, as well as cleaning and sanitization best practices.
  • Maintain housekeeping records: The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for maintaining housekeeping records, including room cleaning schedules, cleaning supply inventory, and staff performance evaluations.
  • Manage budgets: The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for managing budgets, ensuring that housekeeping operations are operating within budgetary constraints.
  • Coordinate with other departments: The Housekeeping Supervisor works with other resort departments to ensure a seamless guest experience. This includes coordinating with the front desk to ensure rooms are ready for guests, with the maintenance department to ensure repairs are made in a timely manner, and with the food and beverage department to ensure restaurant areas are properly cleaned.
  • Handle guest inquiries and complaints: The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for handling any guest inquiries or complaints related to housekeeping, ensuring that they are addressed in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain cleaning standards: The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for maintaining cleaning standards, ensuring that all rooms and common areas are cleaned to a high standard of cleanliness and sanitization.
  • Overall, the Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the housekeeping operations run smoothly, guests are well taken care of, and staff are properly trained and motivated.
  • Other duties and tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in housekeeping operations, preferably in a hotel, resort, or hospitality environment.
  • Previous supervisory or lead experience in housekeeping is strongly preferred.
  • Post-secondary education in Hospitality Management or a related field is an asset (not mandatory).
  • Strong leadership and team-management skills.
  • Ability to train, schedule, and supervise staff.
  • Solid knowledge of cleaning standards, sanitation, and health & safety procedures.
  • Experience with inventory control, record-keeping, and basic budgeting.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability tohandle guest concerns professionally and efficiently.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physically capable of performing housekeeping duties when required.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.60 per hour
