Queen's Landing is currently seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our growing team This is a great opportunity that can provide flexibility, valuable work experience, and a chance to work with a tenured team.Position Summary: Assists the Executive Housekeeper in supervising the housekeeping team by ensuring all rooms and public areas are cleaned and maintained in a manner consistent with a superior quality hotel.Duties and Responsibilities:Primary Responsibilities:Providing personalized and exceptional guest service at every given opportunityAssists the Executive Housekeeper to ensure all rooms, public areas (and Spa for applicable properties) are clean and maintained in good operating orderSupervises Housekeeping Team Members to ensure duties are performed consistent with standard operating proceduresMonitors rooms on a regular basis to ensure that they are clean according to standardsChecks rooms prior to Guest check-in to ensure they are ready for Guests with respect to amenities, supplies and appropriate tidiness/cleanlinessChecks to ensure that all equipment is operating and if not, reports to maintenance to repair or replace if requiredEnsures that all Guests’ special requests are fulfilled pertaining to room set upAssists Executive Housekeeper with scheduling of Team members, reporting of payroll hours, Team Member concerns, coaching, inventories, uniform use and inventory control, etc.Ensures that all cleaning supplies are in stock and Room Attendants have their supply of cleaners dailyMaintains Lost and Found program as required through tracking items, calling Guests, writing to Guests and checking for items leftAssists Room Attendants with cleaning if schedule is behindHaving a thorough knowledge of Lais Hotel Properties’ products and servicesSuggesting additional products and services meeting our Guests’ specific preferencesAssessing Guests’ individual needs to meet standards for additional products and servicesActively seeking ways to meet Guests’ product or service needsSecondary Responsibilities:Filling duty manager shifts when requiredAll other duties as assignedProfessional Requirements:Computer skills an asset3-5 years hospitality industry through experience or courses requiredPrevious up-selling and/or sales experience is considered an assetPersonal Attributes:Excellent organizational, communication and time management skillsHospitality background an assetConfidence in selling and up-selling products and servicesPositive sales-oriented personalityDesire to meet goalsEthical and honestPhysical Requirements:Lifting, bending, carrying and standing for prolonged periods of timeWorking in seasonal temperature extremes in Guest rooms and in outside hallwaysQuestions, quoting the job title and location, may be directed to Lais Hotel Properties Limited is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and accessible workplace where all individuals are valued and respected.
