Front End Manager – Cook Street Full-Time Position

The Front End Manager at Cook Street leads daily front-store operations, ensuring excellent customer experiences, high standards of merchandising, organized inventory, and effective team performance. This role builds on the existing Customer Service Supervisor scope by adding staff leadership, scheduling, performance coaching, merchandising execution, operational planning, and financial accountability. You'll work closely with the pharmacy management team to support store objectives and maintain a professional, efficient front store.

Employee Requirements

  • Flexible availability including evenings and weekends.
  • Completion of a 3-month probation period.
  • After the initial schedule is posted, coordinate requested time off directly with other assistants; final approval from the pharmacy manager.
  • Provide a minimum of 2 weeks' notice for resignation or status change after minimum commitment.
  • Retail/customer service experience, with supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Core Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and mentor front store team members to consistently meet service standards.
  • Oversee training and onboarding of new staff.
  • Conduct performance feedback and support performance improvement.
  • Support hiring processes and assist in recognizing staffing needs.

Customer Service Excellence

  • Greet and assist customers professionally, ensuring every interaction is positive.
  • Handle escalated customer concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Model exceptional customer service for the team.

Operations & Scheduling

  • Prepare staff schedules to ensure optimal coverage and productivity.
  • Manage labor expectations, breaks, and shift adjustments.
  • Ensure accurate processing of sales, refunds, and customer transactions; supervise overrides and register discrepancies.
  • Maintain front-end equipment and POS efficiency.

Inventory & Merchandising

  • Maintain front store inventory levels and execute timely ordering.
  • Ensure product displays, planograms, and promotional merchandising meet brand standards.
  • Monitor product freshness, shelf organization, and pricing accuracy.

Store Standards & Compliance

  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Support loss prevention best practices and cash handling protocols.

Leadership Expectations

  • Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and strong decision-making.
  • Act as a role model for teamwork, professionalism, and positivity.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and pharmacy leadership.

Employment Details

  • Wage: Competitive hourly rate (based on experience).
  • Hours: Full-time (40 hrs/week).
  • Vacation: 2 weeks paid vacation (4%) for full-time
