Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Intermediate First Aid Attendant to join our large scale commercial construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing immediate first aid assistance, ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals in various settings. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to handle emergency situations with professionalism and care. Prior experience in construction or industrial environments is a plus. Bilingual abilities are preferred to effectively serve diverse populations.

Duties

  • Administer first aid and emergency care to individuals as needed, following established protocols
  • Maintain a safe environment by monitoring for potential hazards and ensuring safety procedures are followed
  • Assisting with general duties (housekeeping, guardrails, etc.) as well as willingness to help the team daily as needed while fulfilling the primary role

Qualifications

  • Valid certification in Intermediate First Aid; CPR certification is a plus
  • Strong communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally
  • Must be able to travel to different job sites throughout the GVRD
  • Machine Experience (Skid-Steer / Telehandlers / Scissor Lifts) would be an asset

Job Expectations

  • This position will be a minimum of 40 hrs. / week with overtime as needed
  • Extended health benefits will be available after 6 months of full-time employment
  • RRSP matching program will be available after 1 year of full-time employment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
