Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized part time book-keeper to join our team. This role is essential in supporting accurate financial record-keeping, account management, and ensuring the integrity of our accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have experience with various accounting software and possess strong analytical skills to assist with bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and financial reporting. This position offers an opportunity to work within a collaborative environment focused on precision and efficiency.

Duties

  • Record and categorize all business transactions
  • • Maintain accurate bookkeeping for multiple spa locations
  • • Reconcile bank, credit card, and payment platform accounts (Moneris, Stripe, etc.)
  • • Track revenue, expenses, gift cards, memberships, and prepaid packages
  • • Manage payables (vendor invoices) and ensure timely organization
  • • Organize payroll information for our payroll provider
  • • Prepare monthly financial summaries for management
  • • Track and organize documentation for GST/HST filingsSkills
  • Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices
  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
  • Ability to perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliation accurately
  • Analytical skills for account analysis and identifying discrepancies
  • Knowledge of budgeting processes and financial reporting standards
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Strong communication skills to effectively present financial information

This position is paid and suitable for candidates who are committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy in financial management. Prior experience in accounting or bookkeeping is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates eager to learn.

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 12 per week
