Boutique Law Firm – Downtown Vancouver
Our client, a respected boutique law firm located in downtown Vancouver, is seeking an experienced
Bookkeeper / Office Administrator
to manage the firm's day-to-day financial operations while supporting general office administration and HR coordination.
This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a close-knit, collaborative environment and wants to make a meaningful impact in a well-established legal practice.
Responsibilities
- Full-cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable, receivable, and monthly billings
- Trust accounting and reporting in accordance with Law Society of BC regulations
- Payroll processing and benefits administration (Ceridian experience an asset)
- Bank reconciliations, financial monitoring, and GST/PST/TAF/WorkSafe filings
- Assist with year-end preparation for external accountants
- Manage bank deposits, petty cash, and lawyer expense reimbursements
- Oversee office administration, vendor coordination, and expense tracking
- Provide general HR and office management support as required
- Liaise professionally with lawyers, staff, clients, and third-party service providers
Qualifications
- Completion of a college program or courses in accounting/bookkeeping
- 3–5 years of bookkeeping experience
(law firm experience strongly preferred) - Solid understanding of A/P, A/R, G/L reconciliations, and trust accounting
- Proficiency with
PC Law, Sage Accounting
, and Microsoft Office - Payroll experience (Ceridian)
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to shifting priorities
