Job Description: Swamper

Location: Kearl Lake (14 days on / 14 days off)

Accommodation: Camp position

Pay Rate: $30.00 per hour, 11.5-hour shifts

Job Type: Seasonal*

Physical Requirements: This position is physically demanding.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with refueling drilling equipment, heavy equipment, heaters, and site infrastructure.
  • Maintain Cardlock fuel facilities and ensure work areas are safe and clean.
  • Follow safety protocols for fuel handling and equipment maintenance.
  • Assist in loading/unloading fuel and materials, and support driver with site navigation.

Requirements:

  • Certifications: CSO/CSTS, Emergency First Aid, H2S Awareness, AGT (Gas Detection), Fit Test Card (N95 & 3M 6000 Series Half Mask).
  • Must pass an alcohol/drug test and provide a Fit for Duty doctor's note.

Additional Information:

  • Winter Season: Winter (October–March)
  • Travel: Charter flights from Edmonton/Calgary; bus service for Fort McMurray residents.
  • You will be directed to take additional online courses prior to site arrival.

*Potential for continuation between seasons based on performance and project demand.
