Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Pharmacy Assistant to support our centralized prescription fulfillment operations. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in pharmacy support services, strong communication skills, and a passion for delivering excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately process, prepare, and package prescriptions using pharmacy systems.
  • Support day-to-day operations in our centralized prescription fulfillment center.
  • Maintain inventory control and manage medication stock levels.
  • Report discrepancies and assist in regular inventory audits.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal protocols.
  • Coordinate with pharmacists and support staff for timely medication delivery.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and project a positive company image.
  • Perform daily quality assurance and safety checks.
  • Receive, process, and manage new and repeat prescription orders.
  • Adjudicate third-party billing (online and manual), and manage Third-Party Accounts.
  • Handle incoming calls, faxes, and refer inquiries to pharmacists as required.
  • Assist pharmacists with call-backs and complete documentation accurately.
  • Support prescription workflow, including data entry, refill processing, and labelling.
Skills & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Diploma from a Pharmacy Assistant accredited program preferred.
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy setting strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy systems and understanding of third-party billing processes.
  • Flexible to work weekends/holidays
