We are Portofino Bakery, one of British Columbia's fastest-growing bakeries, serving an increasing network of local grocery and food service customers across Western Canada.

Portofino Bakery was founded over 20 years ago in Victoria, BC, with the mission to provide better artisan bread to the local community in Victoria. Today, we have over 200 team members, and 3 facilities and are continuing our mission to enrich the lives of our customers with better every baked goods.

Portofino Bakery is part of Bond Bakery Brands, a stakeholder-focused investment platform started by three friends, and includes Pace Processing & Product Development, Holy Napoli and Coco Bakery. Together, we are building better bakeries.

The Bread and Butter of the Position:

• Data Analysis & Reporting: Oversee data analysis and reporting functions, ensuring accurate and insightful business intelligence.
• Order Entry Management: Supervise the order entry process to maintain accuracy, efficiency, and timely processing.
• Office & Administrative Oversight: Manage office operations and administrative functions to support business efficiency.
• Inventory Valuation Coordination: Lead the monthly inventory valuation process, ensuring accurate assessment and reporting.
• Product Costing Analysis: Conduct product costing analysis to support pricing strategies and financial planning.
• Deduction Tracking: Monitor and track deductions to ensure proper accounting and reconciliation.Annual Budgeting: Assist in the development and management of the company's annual budgeting process.
• Additional Duties as Assigned: Adapt to various responsibilities as needed to support business operations.
• Support: Demand Forecasting & Production Planning
• Other duties as assigned

Shifts and availability:

• 40 hours per week (8-hour shifts scheduled between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm)
• 15% annual bonus opportunity
• This is a full-time permanent position

The Ingredients You Bring to the Table:

• Demonstrated proficiency in verbal communication, facilitating effective interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
• Extensive expertise in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word and Excel, enabling sophisticated data analysis and reporting.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
• Capacity to work effectively in a physically demanding role, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to upholding company policies, compliance, and quality standards to ensure organizational excellence.
• Strong dedication to punctuality, reliability, and continuous improvement.
