Flex work location
Located at our Divisional Office, # nd Street, Langley, BC, V1M 4A6, this is a full-time permanent position. Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. After probation, hybrid work may be offered, subject to manager approval based on schedule, role, and performance. Occasional after-hours availability required for upgrades and outages.
Why this role matters
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled B2B eCommerce Product Specialist to manage and optimize our extensive online product catalog of over 64,000 SKUs. This role is critical to ensuring our B2B and B2C customers have access to accurate, consistent, and compelling product data that supports purchasing decisions, drives online sales, and provides our customers with an overall exceptional online experience. They will work closely with the eCommerce Manager to champion the maintenance, improvement, and attribution of SKU's in our ERP and digital catalog, while improving and supporting the eCommerce platform.
What to expect in the role
Product Data and SEO Management:
- Validates, enriches, and imports product data from our ERP and external PIM databases into our eCommerce platform using best-practice SEO for category and product attribution.
- Manages and maintains all supporting product assets, including item attributes, images, documents, accessories, substitutes, and SEO metadata across the catalog.
- Routinely audits, identifies, and troubleshoots product data to ensure information is clear, clean, correct, and consistent.
- Collaborates with the eCommerce Manager to create best practices around attribution for future scalability, while working with IT to utilize AI and other supporting integrations and technology to grow the online catalog.
- Engages cross-functionally with sales and other internal departments to learn product lines and improve overall customer experience while browsing.
- Conducts key search word analysis on items sold at EBH and determines the appropriate steps to optimize search results.
- Optimizes product classification and category taxonomy/structure in our ERP and eCommerce platform to support ease of on-site search and SEO.
- Champions on-site search engine optimization to continually improve the customer experience
Integration & Technical Operations:
- Manage data mapping across ERP, PIM, and eCommerce systems, including field updates and SQL-based data optimization.
- Partner with IT and integration teams to troubleshoot data flow and improve system performance.
- Use AI and SEO tools to enhance product and category metadata, strengthen on-site search, and improve product page performance and conversions.
Internal Communication:
- Support the Digital CSR and communicate eCommerce updates to internal teams.
- Respond to staff and customer inquiries on product data.
- Collaborate across sales, marketing, customer service, operations, and finance to solve issues and elevate the online experience.
Internal Support:
- Implement and support eCommerce and marketing technologies aligned to business strategy.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to maintain accurate, aligned product data in the ERP and eCommerce platform.
- Support training, onboarding, item setup, and pricing administration as needed.
Customer Service:
- Provide backup support to the Digital CSR by monitoring and responding to online inquiries and routing requests to the appropriate departments.
- Troubleshoot issues related to web orders, shopper profiles, and customer account setup.
- Ensure timely resolution of customer questions to support a smooth and reliable online experience.
Other Duties:
- Monitor and audit online pricing, units of measure, and item maintenance fields to ensure alignment between the website and ERP system.
- Oversee key eCommerce functions, including product management, account management, order management, and digital asset management.
- Support overall product experience management to ensure accurate, consistent, and high-quality digital content.
Who we're looking for
- 2+ years of experience in a B2B or B2C eCommerce role.
- Advanced computer skills with high proficiency in MS365, Power BI, CRM, PIM, ERP, AI, databases, cloud-based, and virtual platforms.
- Comfortable with large imports and exports of data, knowing how to do intermediate spreadsheet analysis (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting, Sorting, Filtering, etc).
- Basic SQL query writing is an asset.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and within a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple, complex projects with diverse and cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving, organization, and conflict resolution skills.
